Hi,
PLease advise us regarding our HDB flat layout. Our Main door is facing the living room window. Friends told us that we need to put a partition near the main door to solve this problem. HOwever, we are not sure how true is it? Do we really need to place a partition near the main door because it is facing the windows?
And if partition is necessary, how tall it should be?
Would you recommend it to be placed facing the main door?? or it can be placed in between our living room and dining room?
What kind of partition would you recommend:
Louvre wood-type?
Stone block tiles?
or a water feature like a continuous flowing water in big block of stone?
a water feature like an aquarium without fish or
an aquarium with fish?
Thank you,
Andie Christopher

These are some considerations:
1. In Singapore, because of a high percentage stay in apartments. Many apartments have main entrance door that opens towards the balcony or the living room windows.
2. Many have either experienced family members installing a partition or have seen apartments with such a partition. Thus, in my opinion as many as 30 percent of apartments in Singapore be it HDB or condo install such a partition.
3. Technically, so long as one does not have a straight path between the main entrance door towards an opening (at the living room window or a balcony sliding door); this should be OK or fine.
4. As to how tall? For asthetic reasons, many install a partition at least up to the height of the door frame. And some don't go fully to the ceiling so as to allow some light to filter or reflect towards the main door area.
5. Do take note that not all partitions need necessarily be air-tight. Some have openings to display items etc...
6. It is nice to have the width of the partition according to Feng Shui ruler e.g. 35 inches 42 inches or 49 3/4 inches etc...
7. Frankly, there are many more considerations.

Thanks for the sound advice...would you recommened an aquarium or a water feature/fountain as a partition or it depends on the people in the house (e.g. metal monkey is not compatible with water feature like aquarium or fountain...)
Good night! ;)

1. The clue here is that the Chinese Luck system is a holistic approach.
2. Thus, any person (human being)or thing (house) that has a birth-date should be considered.
3. Thus as a human being has a date of birth, I am sure a home also has especially it's date of completion where a Temporary Occupational Permit (TOP) has to be given.
4. The location where the partition has to be investigated. For example, for the home, a Flying Star chart should be constructed to determine whether a water position is suitable say at the main entrance area OR NOT.
5. Similiarly, the difference between bogus Feng Shui and authethic Feng Shui is that Ba Zi has to be factored in. Ba zi when used in a Feng Shui environment is called: BA ZI FENG SHUI or in modern English Language it is often called: 4 PILLARS FENG SHUI.

6. Thus often, someone may ask the question: How do you differentiate an authentic Feng Shui Master vs a bogus one... It has to be a slew of various modules: Compass Schools: Eight House + Flying Star + Ba zi Feng Shui + Shapes & Forms Feng Shui.
