I have a house east 2 facing (also the main door). I am extending the front part (east2 direction) of the house. I intend to move into this house when the renovation is completed next year (year of dragon).
I heard that it is not advisable to renovate the East side of the house this year. However this is a vacant house now as the previous tenant had moved out 4 months ago and my family is not stayimg there. Please advise.

1. In my opinion, since you stated that the home is vacant;
2. There is no issue for you to do renovations this year be it at East or other sectors so long as you have not moved into THAT home.
3. Thus, even if you were to do 10 or 20 renovations prior to move-in; there is no issue.
4. This is based on the concept of a remote control. Here, if you don't stay in that home; you cannot use a "remote control" to control your home.
5. However, if you had already moved-in to the home even after the 10 or 20 renovations; and "touch" or "disturb" East sector; then this is different.
5.1. Thus say after move-in; you don't like the wall colour at East and decided to repaint it after you move in; then this is "bad".
5.2. Alternatively, if you decide to drill holes into the wall to fix cabinets or shelfs; then this is an no-no.
5.3. However, if you choose to push a table against a wall or place a cabinet next to the east wall, then there is no issue.
