We bought a new house, I am planning on renovate a small bath room on the main floor before we move in. It is in the center of the main floor. This year the annual flying star 5 yellow is in the center. I understand we should not disturb it. We are also going to re surface the entire hard wood floor ( sand and stain) on the main floor. If we do these work before moving in, would that make peace with 5 yellow?
In addition, resurfacing the hard wood floor (sand and stain) on the main floor, and installing hard wood floor on the 2nd floor, would that consider "major" renovation, so period would fly to next period? BTW, the roof was replaced in period 8 already?

3. Ideally, if one had bought a new home, but YET to stay in; could consider doing all the renovations be it major or MINOR PRIOR to move in.
4. Thus, it is better that after completion of the sale/purchase of the home. Immediately do the necessary renovations (especially at the center area).
5. Then if possible, move-in or (select a good date to move-in). This is considered as NICE-to DO.
