Posted May 27, 201015 yr Staff The Sri Mariamman Hindu Temple located at 244 South Bridge Road. (S)058793. This temple is within the heart of Singapore Chinatown. It is Singapore's oldest and largest Hindu temple. The first temple was built as far back as 1827. And the current brick temple was built (re-built) around 1843. While Chinese temples are usually adorned with twin door guards; the Hindus, have a different set of door "guardians".. Take a look at (cheerful) them...
