Posted September 12, 20159 yr Staff Back in the 1950's and 1960's aluminium was rare and very costly. Thus this was the most popular design using the material steel. As aluminium was expensive to make in the past. One of the quickest ways to open to any width and quick and easy to lock. Can even add extra padlocks if needed.
September 7, 20187 yr Author Staff Looks like an ID use it on a desert shop... l Traditional metal gate
July 19, 20196 yr Author Staff Another one... the owner most likely repainted it together with the inner collapsible door many years later.
October 5, 20195 yr Author Staff Again another traditional collapsible gate.. Slightly newer around 1970’s with metal rods encased by hollow cosmetic aluminium tubes... as aluminium does not rust. And can still maintain it's lustre if proper care is taken of it. This grille is around 50 plus years or more.. and at a glance still looks acceptable.
