I was born in the year of Monkey, but my Bazi chart (day master) reveals that I am a Tiger. So, am I a monkey or Tiger? When I read astrological predictions, should I read the one that is for Monkey or Tiger? Thank you.

These are some considerations:

1. Chinese Horoscope or often called Chinese Animal signs or Chinese Zodiac signs uses basically one's Year of birth.

1.1. Reference: http://www.lovesigns.net

1.2. In fact, especially around the 1970's to early 1980's the books that introduces one to the Chinese metaphysics is based on para 1.

2. Thus, traditionally one should still associate oneself with one's YEAR of birth. Thus if one was born in the year of the Monkey, one is considered a monkey.

3. Don't be confused. Ba Zi has three compulsory inputs : DD MM YYYY. And a third nice to have HH. And all these inputs: Day / Month / Year and Time of birth is a separate "system" to determine one's element and strength e.g. weak water or strong water person etc...
