In the last few years; many new HDB flats has play catch-up with the condominiums and ECs.

To make it sound nicer; the use of drywall’s has led to a nicer sounding theme: “New HDB flats with flexible layouts”

This is to say that all older HDB flats inner walls were once constructed with pre-cast concrete slabs.

But today, I have come across many new HDB estates using such dry walls: Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang, Punggol, Yishun and many other new estates.
