Posted April 4, 20187 yr Staff This is ground zero for Tampines New Town’s first few neighbourhood centre. In the early 1980’s prior to the development of Tampines MRT and Tampines HUB, one would have thought that Tampines centered around this block 1xx estate.
April 4, 20187 yr Author Staff Kungfu Roast & Fried Kway Teow. Note: Kungfu Roast was located in a nearby coffee shop. While char kway teow is in the round market and food centre. Kungfu Road had a few branches. One day I was walking past it's branch at Tiong Bahru Plaza basement. The landlord pasted a notice saying that the premise has been taken back by them. Recently in March 2020, walked past this coffeeshop. Indeed this Coffee Shop's Kungfu Road lost it's tooth. Gone already...
March 18, 20196 yr Author Staff Tanjong Pagar Market and Food Centre. Fried Kway Teow Peter (the stall holder) was formerly at East Coast Road (ECR). He told me that the landlord often raise his rent. To the point that he gave up selling at this ECR location. Not oily. But equally not fragrant..as cannot smeel the "Wok Hei" smell from the Kuay Teow... so...so.. only. If at Tanjong Pagar same Food Centre (FC), I would rather prefer the Satay Bee Hoon which is on the other side of the FC = facing Tanjong Pagar Road.
