Hi Master,

Please advise if I could install a small hidden exhaust fan on top of Altar cabinet?

There are already sufficient resources in the forum on this subject matter.

For example, I did a search for "altar" in this forum and there are already as many as 21 pages of resources on the above subject:-

There are two main considerations:

1. To the highly or ultra-conservative: it is less than ideal. To some even consider this “disrespectful” to do so.

1.1 Not to say that the fan may be from the illustration shown; directly above the figurine.

1.2 Plus there could be some vibrations or sound from the fan. Especially if it gets older.

2. Common sense: Ithe purpose of an exhaust is that air can be sucked from one side and blow out of the other.

2.1 In your illustration; it is merely blowing the exhaust into the concealed box. And since there is no proper outlet: there will not be a proper suction. And later the ash would be circulating within the ceiling box...
