Geylang has one of the highest densities of Chinese Temples & clan / business associations in Singapore. Mosque and religious facilities are also abound here.

The only thing is that local banks do not provide financing for homes and apartments in this district. You have to pay cash to purchase a home, here. This has to do with it’s shady side = a red light district.

Geylang also is popular with lots of unique eateries.
