Posted July 28, 20187 yr Staff They only sell one variety of noodles = Mee Pok The food is light but with a balanced flavour. Their cheapest $5.50 contains a unique one slice of rehydrated fish maw and a moist braised-poached melt-in the mouth half-an-egg. Portions are reasonable..but nice. Unfortunately.. one complaint is that their chilli is dull.. don't give that kind-of-kick!
July 28, 20187 yr Author Staff More photos The dried fish maw before it is rehydrated with water/soup.... A write up of this stall and it's origins at Maxwell Food Centre at Maxwell Road.... Note: PERMANENTLY CLOSED AT BISHAN! As In February 2020 during my visit there.
October 3, 20186 yr Author Staff Blk 11 Telok Blangah Market = Crescent Mall This Mee Pok stall is okay. Edible... Scenic Telok Blangah

January 17, 20196 yr Author Staff Pandan Gardens Fishball Noodles PGFN at Bukit Batok West Ridge. Small is $3.50/-. Their Mee Pok noodle is springy and generally their noodle is light even with so much chillies added. No overpowering taste or smell Nor salty. Quite comparable to Guan’s Mee Pok version.
April 24, 20196 yr Author Staff Their branch in Punggol... looks very spicy.. in fact for me this is mild!
May 1, 20196 yr Author Staff Another nice Mee Pok within Bukit Panjang Community Club: With fish maw or fish bladder and a nice fish ball within it a tender juicy meat ball also. Juicy meat ball within a fish ball... great! Actual location as shown by the red arrow...
July 25, 20196 yr Author Staff Tanjong Pagar Market and Food Centre at 2nd level. Comfort food. Not too heavy especially at dinner time Acceptable taste.. nothing to shout about...
August 2, 20196 yr Author Staff Al Kasim Indian Muslim Food at Food Park, Bukit Panjang Community Club... (A small food corner tucked away at Level 1 of this People’s Association) This time round, I asked them to pour the gravy onto the prata. This is pretty common as the prata soaks in the gravy, making it a fuller meal. Even so, some of the sides that were dry are still crispy! Highly recommended their prata with egg. I always eat the plain ones. But tempted to try this single piece with egg is really nicely done. Not dry. This meal costs a mere $1.50/- only. What makes this stall so wonderful is their ultra fragrant, not salty mutton gravy with generous toppings of greens... But do avoid the chunks of mutton oil. Otherwise, ten times better at the nearby BUKIT Panjang Hawker Centre’s Prata stall run by NTUC... Finished the prata. What’s left is a chunk of lamb fat... Bagus! (Good) The actual stall front:-
August 11, 20196 yr Author Staff Paid a few more visits... 26.2.2020... Early morning..prior to visiting a client at Verde Avenue... perk me up breakfast:
November 29, 20195 yr Author Staff Another visit At lunch time. If their morning prata is good.. this must also be good?? No regrets ordering this mutton curry rice for $4/-. (With brani rice is $6/- for the whole meal). Melt in the mouth mutton meat... Spices just nice. Aromatic and not over powering like many others. P.S. Next stop Yew Mei Green condo...
January 6, 20205 yr Author Staff 1. Yong Seng Teochew Mee at Block 105 #02-47 Hougang Avenue 1 Market/Food Centre. 2. Probably the best that I ever tasted! At $4/- basic bowl. 3. Generous amounts of chilli. Sauce well balanced. Very unique fine (flat) noodles...chewy, not sticky. But no fish maw found in the $4/- bowl... Did not order their Laksa, although seen someone buying it. Looks nice. But too unhealthy for me... Another popular stall is also on the same facing and level. Nearby to the open air wash basins.
March 21, 20205 yr Author Staff Foodgle Hub: Mee Pok Stall at Bukit Batok West Terra The other day saw many people savouring the noodles from this stall. Visually looks nice. Tried it today! No regrets! Fish ball noodles with beans sprout at $3.00. West Terra is only roughly a year old. Yet, this stalls noodles is superb. To me, it is better than any I tasted other than Yong Seng at Hougang which I reviewed earlier. Although lots of gravy was added, cannot taste the usual after taste .. or smell. Simply spicy and savoury! Cannot miss the coffee shop: at Block 451 MSCP
March 31, 20205 yr Author Staff Teochew Fishball Minced Meat Noodle at Blk 219 River Valley Road Coffee shop. $4/-. One of my favourites. Generous with mixed gravy. Chilli is spicy. Not over powering... comfort food... no residual after-taste. Nice... Block 219 circled in red:-
August 10, 20205 yr Author Staff EAT at Woodlands Central Comfort food.. good that it tastes the same at every of their chain. Generally well balanced flavour of the noodles. Yes
August 10, 20205 yr Author Staff At 473 Fernvale Coffee Shop Well balanced flavours. Very bouncy and light fish balls. In fact their fish balls are exceptionally good.
August 13, 20205 yr Author Staff Noodle Fish Soup at 417 Fernvale The thin noodles below average. The only interesting thing are a small handful of fried bean curd skins. One of those that you will not eat again. The sliced red chillies are also not fresh.

This stall took over recently. Automatically give black KL sauce type.. Noodles fairly well balanced. Fair.
September 17, 20204 yr Author Staff Ding Ji Teochew Noodles at Block 2A Eunos Crescent At another branch...Located at 507 Yishun HDB Angsana Breeze. Limited food in the morning... that’s why went for it again. Since okay ... or so so at Eunos, a day earlier... Comfort food. Acceptable taste. But commercially sourced ingredients... Noodles are thick and at Angsana Breeze branch a few strains are partially cooked... but gave a generous helping of extra chilli ...
September 28, 20204 yr Author Staff Taste is smooth. Slightly more sourness (tangy). Most likely due to the black vinegar. Filling or comfort food.

Sengkang Branch at 308 Anchorvale Comfort food... so so
November 18, 20204 yr Author Staff I travel everywhere for audits. This stall is at Block 724 Ang Mo Kio Food Centre called Happy Garden Opted for the $4.50 instead of the $3.50 Very generous amounts of noodles... until cannot finish it. Equally generous are the ingredients.. such as three whole succulent pieces of prawns. At other places the prawns are dry and in halves! Also generous amounts of sliced meat.. a few with fat oozing out. They automatically give a chunk of fried pork lard pieces. Unfortunately these taste state as in not wok-fresh. Otherwise the sauce is I won’t say it is outstanding but not overpowering with garlic (if any). Some durian distract around the vicinity To be honest, I was hoping for the Satay Bee Hoon stall to be opened.. But frankly, it is but a dream. Given that such stalls cater more to perhaps the evening crowd. LOL Tried this stall previously.. missed it today!
December 29, 20204 yr Author Staff Heng Lee also sells Teochew Mee Pok Or amongst my favourite... but better than average. What I like is the green chilli padi addition. Can eat again.
January 1, 20214 yr Author Staff Bee Yee Teochew Fish Ball Kuay Teow Mee at Happy Hawkers $4/-. Light and well balanced. Need to add the red chilli padi to make it spicy. Comes with a small meatball. Pairs well with the red chilli padi.. flavours as mentioned is light and nice...
