July 14, 20196 yr How would you judge the fengshui of the courtview plot of land given it is a former cemetery and in a shape of a blade. I assume it is good that most of the units are west sun facing, providing yang qi to the area.
July 15, 20196 yr Author Staff In my view, the Alkaff Courtview land plot is generally favorable. (It can be regarded as a propitious site for burial in the past). Residents are likely to thrive. The individual units are determined by the bell curve. Even though the plot is somewhat elongated or 'vertical' in relation to the afternoon sun, there are still numerous stacks/units that remain unaffected by the afternoon sun and/or are only partially impacted at the frontage. I plan to visit one of these developments soon to assess the situation, as it has just received its Temporary Occupation Permit (T.O.P.). I will certainly bring along a few of my Loupans specifically for 'Yin Feng Shui' to evaluate the site.... One of the hidden advantages in Feng Shui is the presence of birds. I hope that when the Bidahari Greenway is completed, one will be able to observe some life there. A location lacking birds... hmmm... P.S. I conducted a brief assessment of the effects of afternoon sun at HDB Alkaff Courtview: Please note that the above list is not exhaustive. Nevertheless there is a fair amount of stacks/units that are literally not affected by the afternoon sun. Wow....

September 17, 20195 yr Although the plot is longish or "vertical" towards the afternoon sun, there are still quite alot of stacks/units that are not affected by the afternoon sun and/or only partially at the frontage. Hi Master, Can I know what do you mean by affected by afternoon sun, is it good or bad ? Please enlighten. Thank you.
September 17, 20195 yr Author Staff Some observations regarding the afternoon sun:- 1. The greenhouse effect leads to heat accumulation, which frequently penetrates the walls. 2. Children typically attend school in the morning but return home around noon. Adults often work in cooler environments. Many cannot afford to use air conditioning for the children. 3. Individuals of Asian descent generally possess darker skin, which reduces the risk of skin cancer despite increased exposure to UV rays. We Chinese have yellow skin, while other races have a brownish hue, which can be considered a hidden advantage. 4. When a master bedroom wall or the walls of living rooms and bedrooms absorb afternoon sunlight, they may continue to radiate heat even at 8 or 9 PM... just imagine that.... 5. With rising temperatures globally and in Singapore, the climate is becoming increasingly hotter... leading to a tendency for family members to become irritable.... it’s just common sense, lah. 6. Many individuals who have previously lived in homes that receive “afternoon sun” will often seek to avoid such residences if possible. 7. To be frank, none of these aspects are directly linked to Feng Shui. However, if after relocating, an individual asserts... there is an issue with the Feng Shui of my house, especially since we seem to be arguing constantly! Does this then qualify as Feng Shui or not?
