If I stand behind the front door of my new house (period 7, 1995) with the compass in my palm facing the door, the compass reading is 78 deg (E1).  However, if I stand in the CENTER of the house with the compass in my palm facing the front door, it reads 56 deg (NE3).  Which is the direction of my front door, E1 or NE3?

Conservatives: Stand inside the front door looking outwards E1.
