What direction do I use

My house is facing NE about 15 deg. My front door is on the left looking out. If I stand in the middle of the house and look at the front door direction, it would be North. Thus, is this mean that my main door is facing North instead of north east ?

Yes. Based on your description, when you stand at the centre of your house, your main door is considered to be North.
