Posted March 19, 199926 yr I have heard that stuffed toys along the walls in a child's bedroom is considered inauspicious. This is a common practice "Down Under". Is this true and why?ThanksGlyn
Posted March 19, 199926 yr Dear Glyn,Frankly, this depends on the type of stuffed toys. If it is `cute' (don'tblame me but the dictionary says cute means adorable but ugly) or any softtoys, this is acceptable. I have seen many homes even in Singapore, wherethe child (especially girls) display a wide range of their toys e.g. barbiedolls etc...The only thing is not to display stuffed animals e.g. tigers, leopardsetc... Other objects to avoid include war toys, guns or swords etc... I amnot sure how this would affect the alter ego of boys thou (if they know howto read this) and start to throw rotten eggs at me:)Likewise, swords should not be displayed facing the main entrance door andpaintings or pictures of such animals e.g. tigers with their mouth openetc... facing the main door also.Warmest Regards,Cecil-----Original Message-----From: Listmanager To: Recipients of 'free-advice' suppressed suppressed>Date: Friday, March 19, 1999 7:34 AMSubject: Stuffed Toys Quote From: "Glyn Hezakiah" This message is sent from "free-advice" Mailing List.I have heard that stuffed toys along the walls in a child's bedroom isconsidered inauspicious.
