Are potted plant considered soil. And can they cause a imbalance since due to the cold weather we keep potted plants inside and usually keep them near the windows with the most sunshine according to different weather. Thanks.

Dear Anon,
In my opinion, the soil should not be an issue especially under your condition. As there is a real need to keep the plants `alive'.
