Posted September 12, 2024Sep 12 Hi! Is this consider a problem? If so, how may I neutralize/ remedy it? Thanks in advance!!
September 17, 2024Sep 17 Staff The photograph lacks conclusive evidence due to its elevated perspective, and the roof-line observed from the obscure window does not appear to present any significant threat. Furthermore, can't tell if this is a living room or critical area. In doubt, can add a frosted film or a day curtain etc... Sample of frosted or opaque flim
September 17, 2024Sep 17 Staff The photo (see below) highlights the concept of Sha Qi, or poison arrows, which are represented by triangular roof lines that can negatively impact neighboring properties when directed towards their doors or windows. This illustrates the potential adverse effects of architectural design on surrounding environments.
September 17, 2024Sep 17 Staff How to take a proper photo The importance of understanding the proper techniques for photographing potential poison arrows, which can aid in their identification and analysis. WRONG! The incorrect method of photographing a lamp post can lead to misinterpretations regarding its classification as sha qi or a poison arrow. Accurate assessment requires proper techniques to ensure reliable conclusions. W +++ CORRECT! To capture an effective photograph of the home, position yourself directly in line with the lamp post. This alignment will enhance the composition and focus of the image. The main point of the above illustration is to stand at a specific location, X, from which one should stand to capture a photograph of the lamp post, referred to as O. This instruction emphasizes the importance of positioning for effective photography. Excellent Shots!
September 17, 2024Sep 17 Author Thank you so much! I tried to take a different photo looking straight out of the window instead of elevated perspective… hopefully this is a bit better. this is in a office / small bedroom so not main living space. the slope that you see in the right side of the photo is directly outside of a second office. Facing north. Is it better to have the curtain down most times? Anything we should be aware of?
September 17, 2024Sep 17 Staff Thank you for taking good photos. In my opinion, the neighbor's roof line appears to be "self-contained" i.e. not jut out and does not present any significant issues, despite a slight downward slant. Overall, the assessment suggests that there are no concerns regarding the roof's design or potential hazards. +++ The tree trunk [In red], symbolically viewed as a poison arrow directed at the window, poses a threat only as long as it is visible; once it is no longer seen, it ceases to be a danger.
