Posted March 27, 200025 yr Dear cecil,What is the best place of the house to locate the stairs. Thanks.
Posted March 27, 200025 yr Staff Dear Anon,1. Ideally, it should be on one side of the house such as sharing the same wall as an external wall.2. It should not go all the way but should have a turning or staircase landing where there is a turning.3. Besides these, where possible, it should be enclosed i.e. not pieces of steps that have `holes' or like planks where you can downstairs.4. Avoid having a circular set of steps in the house.5. Avoid facing the main entrance door.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/27/00 2:38:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear cecil,What is the best place of thehouse to locate the stairs.Thanks.

If I can't have the central staircase with an open well (sky light that directs light down to 1st floor) from top to first floor, than can a laundry be in the center.
