Dear cecil,
I read somewhere that the senior citizens among chinese people are very much respected and well taken care of by the younger generations. Is it true.

Dear Anon,
Yes, the foundation of Chinese belief is to take care of their elders. It is also due to `Confucianism' or teachings on respect for the elders.
Thus `filial piety' is prevalent in Chinese society.
