Posted May 11, 200025 yr Dear cecil,I read somewhere that most chinese people display inverted fu calligraphy in SE of their living room for good luck. Is this true. Thanks.
Posted May 11, 200025 yr Staff Dear Anon,In my opinion, it is difficult to give a precise location for placement of a good luck symbol. As there is no specific literature in the past to say that it must be placed strategically at a location like SE. If so, this is a modern `invention' as to the exact placement. Many people, after seeing others place such a symbol may, go out and buy and place it either at the same location as what they have seen. So, I have come across, some people who place it behind the main door. While others display it prominently on a wall facing the door etc...There is no evidence to say that placing it at one direction is better than another. More importantly for those who want to do so, can, place it at a position that `like' after looking around the home. Where possible, commonsense would have it that one should not place it inside the toilet door facing the toilet seat. Otherwise, if a person like it, do what they please. I believe that this would be a more sensible approach.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 5/11/00 12:08:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear cecil,I read somewhere that mostchinese people displayinverted fu calligraphy in SEof their living room for goodluck.
