Posted May 12, 200025 yr Dear cecil,I read somewhere that the traditional feng shui masters advise their clients to keepa fink tank without the cover. Is it true. Also they consider it inauspicious to cover the fish tank since they say that the beneficial Qi is blocked and that it is useless to keep fish tank this way. Is it true. Thanks.
Posted May 13, 200025 yr Staff Dear Anon,1. Fish Tank is more of a `modern' "invention".More commonly in the past, we talk more of a pond.2. Yes, if you have a water position, the advise is not to cover the top of the tank.As a fish tank lacks the `power' to generate a more `vibrant' Qi than say a fountain or waterfall, in my opinion, it does not matter anyway.3. If one own a `landscaped' pond inside your house, you will notice that it is not only open, but even if you are as far away, locking the bedroom door, you may still hear the sound of water from the `artificial' waterfall. It is the sound and the open concept that is considered generating `vibrant' Qi as compared to a fish tank where the filter has only a short distance to spout the water into the surface of the tank.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 5/12/00 11:54:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear cecil,I read somewhere that thetraditional feng shui mastersadvise their clients to keepa fink tank without the cover. Is it true. Also they consider itinauspicious to cover the fishtank since they say that thebeneficial Qi is blocked andthat it is useless to keepfish tank this way.
