Dear Cecil/Robert:
1)When a door facing has been 'altered' as in putting a low cabinet or =partition, does it then mean that the orignal door facing direction no =longer applies? i.e. one shd use the altered door facing for any =calculations henceforth?
2)As I'm a weak earth, south2 facing being of 'fire' shd be good for me. =But, as 1999 South is 5Yellow, which is inauspicious, does it mean that =South is generally 'bad' for anyone?

Dear Eve,
Placing a partition or a low cabinet within the house (inside the house)
does not alter the original door facing direction.
The purpose of this is to let qi meander gently into the house and it is for
this purpose only. However, if one tilts the main entrance door to a
specific direction, one then has changed the direction of the facing of the
door.
No, the South = inauspicious is considered a `text book' assessment for
everyone. Unfortunately, this is too general unless one does a personalised
Feng Shui assessment specific to their own house and their personal data.
Otherwise, it is in my opinion too general to be used by everyone. In fact
it is less `accurate' even if we consider the Eight House as even the Eight
House theory takes into consideration of a person's Gua number.
In this Yearly Flying Star chart, there is no `ownership' of the model or
personalised to anyone.
I tend to think that it is the equivalent of the Eight Aspirations or Life
Aspirations theory.
I cannot blame a book author because, it is difficult to write a book
personalised to suit an individual. That is why you often see the authors
writing profusely about the South West e.g. romance corner, North e.g.
career corner.
All these general readings are more and my feeling is one good thing about
them is that they are simple to understand and thus be able to get "
beginners or novice " users interested in Feng Shui and then more and more
when their `thirsty' of more knowledge develops. These ideas are not
appropriate to many who have advanced further and now using eg. the Flying
Star Theory or its numerlogy.
