Dear Gerald,
I am not sure whether are you working or studying.
Normally for a bedroom or a studio apartment, it should be more Yin or
`state of rest'.
Therefore the type of environment would depend on what you are currently
doing i.e this
depends on whether you are studying (plus your study habits) i.e. in a
dormitory or you are working and returning home to rest.
Other than the above, check the lighting in the room. The type of light
could affect the environment around you.
If you are a student and often study in the room, it is good to have a small
hifi or portable radio in your room. Music does create a `more yang
environment'.
Here the essence of a small studio apartment is to create either:
1. a more yang environment
2. a more yin environment
but overall, there must be a `balance' of both because you also need rest or
sleep.
Yang environment would suggest, bold colours, music, activity, bright lights
in the house or natural lighting, hanging of colourful posters etc..
Yin would suggest a quieter environment e.g. lower lighting conditions,
pale colours, placing a picture of loved ones, soothing sounds etc... etc...
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

hi
I have a one room apartment
( a studio/bachelor type)
how do the feng shui principles apply here?
do i apply the bedroom principle to the whole room? or do i treat each
section as if it was a separate room?
for example: my bed is facing north
and the TV ( in the NW corner)is conveniently facing the bed so i can watch
it from bed.
my feng shui number is 7
thank you for kind help
