Dear Cecil,
I am a student living in a university dorm and i have difficulty in arraging my furnitures according to feng shui, given such a small space. I have to fit a bed, computer table, study desk, a wardrobe and two shelves into a rectangular-like tiny room! Here's an illustration, with the opening as the entrance (upper left) and the lower right as the window (the only!). Ignore the dots.

Please, please give me some advice on arrangement. I know the rules, but can't seem to apply them all.

Dear George,
Please see `suggested' layout plan.
As for the closet, I am not sure which direction the door faces. As the layout I drawn is on the assumption that the closet door (hopefully) faces the direction where it can be opened.
The computer table is placed on the side of the desk.
Generally, it is understandable that there is a constraint in applying Feng Shui in a dorm. Thus, one should not `worry' unduly on the need to apply FS to this area.
Many studies all over the world also stay in a dorm: live and study there. Thus more importantly, it is not so much of Feng shui but good study habbits and techiques that helps a person. (Especially in a dorm).
Warmest Regards,
Cecil

Hello,
I read with interest regarding the given situation for a students room.
1) According to Shapes and Form FS, is it acceptable for a study desk not to be immediately against a wall.
2) and is it acceptable for the study desk to be facing a large built in wall size wardrobe - with say one of the desks sides immediately adjacent against a wall?
3) is it also acceptable to place a study desk with the persons back if there is a bed and balcony doors direclty behind the desk
4) i've attached a sample diagram. your comments is kindly appreciated.
Kind regards
Scott
