Posted June 23, 200025 yr Dear cecil,Why there are no books about chinese culture. The only books available about chinese culture are about the life of Mao and the chinese revolution and 2-3 books about the Emperors of China. What about the general people and the customs. How come the overseas chinese don't write about their culture for the future generations. Thanks.
Posted June 26, 200025 yr Staff Dear Anon,You will be `surprised' to learn that there are lots of books on Chinese culture. Especially before the communists take over but unfortunately, many are in Mandarin. This is why, they are hard to find. Many Chinese classics such as the Four Scholars etc... have been interpreted in English ....Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 6/23/00 1:19:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:Dear cecil,Why there are no books aboutchinese culture. The only books available aboutchinese culture are about thelife of Mao and the chineserevolution and 2-3 books aboutthe Emperors of China.
