Hi,
I'm a novice, please help. Front door faces South East (120) Hall/landing requires decorating. Stairs are at front and central to house. Which colours would be considered good for this area.

Dear Susan,
We have to see it from two perspectives:
1. If we do not relate it to Feng Shui concepts, simply choose a neutral color like white or a color that you feel that would look good at this sector.
2. Under Feng Shui, we study each person's element and strength plus the house chart and then `select' a colour scheme for the sector.
Usually, most of the time, like in Para 1, a neutral color like white or pastel or light shades of a color onto white is ok.
We also have to use a common sense approach. Here, check to see the lighting in the home. If there is always natural light, it would be nice to keep the home `naturally' bright and again a neutral color would be nice.
Avoid painting the house such that you need to turn on the light even in day time.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
