We are currently re-landscaping our front yard and have built a small retainer wall (approx. 2 foot high) and in filled the yard to be level. Our house now sits lower than the front yard, but I have noticed I have been feeling very negative lately and feel like I am not accomplishing anything. As we have not finished the work yet the yard is still 'rubbish' clay and we hope to re-turf very soon. Could this 'dead' front yard be creating bad energy? We are in Australia and the house is facing south east.

Dear Lyn,
Under Shapes and Form Feng Shui, your house should not `sit' lower than the frontage i.e. front yard.
Is it possible to reverse this? Having the house lower than the frontage can have a negative effect on the homeowners. The house is equally `entrapped'.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
