Good Luck Plant

I have several good luck plants some in water and some planted outside. Is this plant a type of bamboo and is it true that some have flowers. I have never seen any with flowers.Also what is the Botanical name and beliefs? Thanks.

Dear Spring,
Currently it is difficult to visualise the good luck plant you are referring to.
But if it is the Money Plant, then it is also known as crassula ovata. For a money plant it is more a vine (plant) than bamboo.
Alternatively, I am not sure if you are referring to the Hyacinth or hyacinthus orientalis. This is a upward growing plant. It flowers with either pink, light yellow, blue or white.
