I received a ceramic money tree (children on it) as a gift. Should I place this in any special place? Do I need to do anything special?

In my opinion, you can consider this (ceramic money tree with children on it) as a decorative piece.
For this decorative piece, since it does not have any major significance associated with a specific deity/god, feel free to place it anywhere you personally feel comfortable with.
