Does the sixty year cycle in chinese astrology have anything to do with the orbit of Jupiter ( approx 12 years X 5 = 60 years ) combined with the orbit of Saturn ( approx 30 years X 2 = 60 years )around the Sun.

Dear Ernesto,
The Chinese astrology is based on the five visible planets:
Mercury
Mars
Venus
Jupiter
Saturn
Each of these planets are related to an element:
Mercury = water element
Mars = Fire
Venus = Metal
Jupiter = Wood
Saturn = Earth
These five elements x the 12 Chinese zodiac signs represent = 60 year cycle.
You are partially correct in that this 60 year cycle is reinforced by what we call the planet cycles or their full obit:
Here, mercury takes 10 years to complete a full orbit; Mars = 15 years; Saturn 30 years and Jupiter = 12 years (other than venus) this approximately gives us around 60 years.
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
