I had read some books saying that with 7 7 combination at the entrance, it is considered very auspicious. However, when the end of the period 7, one should change the door. I wonder, does it change the period of the house from 7 to 8? When should we change the door?

Dear Kenny,
1. Under the 20 Year Flying Star analysis, for a house built under Period 7; it is a bonus if there is a 7 7 combination at the main entrance.
2. The base number would also be looked at to find out the degree of auspiciousness of a 7 7 combination house under current Period 7.
3. Under the 20 Year Flying Star analysis, a house will (always) remain under that period if no major renovations were done in the period.
For example, For a Period 6 house; that house will continue to enjoy 6 6 combinations under Period 6 provided there is no major renovations carried out anytime afterwards.
Thus a Period 6 house with double 77 combinations will still have this birth chart even under Period 7, Period 8 or Period 9 so long as there are no major renovations.
For a Period 7 house. This is the same situation. A Period 7 house with double 7 7 will remain so during period 7 and even under Period 8, 9 & restart at 1,2,3,4 etc...

Thanks for the reply. However, some books said that when the period of 8 arrived, those entrance that have 7 7 combination will become bad luck. Thus, how should one
avoid such situation.

Dear Kenny,
1. If you have a house built in period 7 and if the house remains as a Period 7; between 1984 to 2003, the current prosperity wealth stars are #7's either Mountain or Water or like this  double #7's.

2. Especially under Period 7, a double #7's has what is known as the very auspicious Diagonal Robbery Star 7. Click here to find out more:-

3. In Period 8, if the house still remains as a Period 7 chart. 

3.1. From 2004 onwards, the double #7's at the front door becomes past prosperity.

3.2. Here, check the chart and try to locate where are the #8's. As the Mountain #8 and Water #8 will be the current prosperity in Period 8.

4. This extract shows a Period 8 Chart. But Period 8 will expire in 2023. But often, the cut-off is not exactly on 2023 but often a few years earlier.

4.1. In Period 8, this double #8's are at South.

4.2. But by 2024 onwards till 2043 , the Water Star #9 will be at NE. While the Mountain Star #9 is at North.
