I heard that it is bad luck to have the front door open to steps that lead up into your house. Ever since we moved in here we have had money problems. How can I fix this?

1. Yes, it is considered inauspicious to have the front door open to steps.
2. If there is some distance between the two; then a divider or a screen could be used to neutralise this or (I am not sure how `ugly' a curtain or beads look) but the concept here is: `if it cannot be seen (stairs) it no longer poses a threat'.
3. In addition, take sometime to look out of the front door and windows to look out for any `poison arrows'.
Here poison arrows usually refer to pointed objects or an edge of a building pointed towards the front door or windows. Or it could be a lone lamp post `slicing' thru the window or door.
