Posted March 30, 200124 yr What is the best color for a north east facing master bedroom? I have just recently painted the walls a deep mauve because I felt the previous white activated this room causing sleep problems. Was this color choice good for sleep but bad for inner peace? What is the remedy to fix the new mauve paint job?

Posted April 8, 200124 yr I guess I really wanted to know if the color mauve, that is related to earth will activate the room--or-does an earth color diminish activation in a north east room that is metal? I personally feel the darker color has calmed the room down, so my objective for better sleeping has been reached. However this room is in the Knowledge sector and I was wondering if mauve walls has now activated it.

There are many different issues in Feng Shui and Ba Zhi (Pillars of Destiny) and Yin and Yang concepts with regards to determining/recommendation as to the colour in a room.2. This message would not be able to address all the above. And furthermore, `knowledge sector' is not practised here.3. With regards to colours, `earth' colour or any other colours, you may have to take it in the context of Yin (darker) and Yang (brighter colours). Since your preference or comfort level is a darker room, it should do. Usually, earth colour is associated with Yellow. I am not sure what is the exact colour i.e. mauve.. if it dark, then, it could instead be `wood' colour i.e. brown...
