Posted August 24, 200124 yr My house is completely open plan, except for the bathroom. I have a spiral staircase which leads to the roof top, halving the room, being a little off to the side. I suspect the staircase is draining energy. Is there anything I can do to prevent this or make the staircase more auspicisious ?Thankyou in advance.Rochelle
Posted August 26, 200124 yr Staff Dear Rochelle,1. For info, it would normally be very inauspicous to see a spiral staircase, especially if one is standing at the main entrance facing inwards of the home. I hope that this is not your case.2. Usually to `tame' the spiral staircase; two methods are used:-2.1. Placement of plants around the staircase (ground level) especially the side facing outwards. For example if the spiral staircase is close to a wall, two potted plants can be placed on the `other side' to conceal part of the steps leading out of the staircase.2.2. The placement of forks. Here, one can use two metal forks (those common fork and spoon) type of fork and aim it towards each side of the staircase i.e. symbolically to tame the staircase. Here, the fork can be placed e.g. on a decorative self or on a cabinet about waist height. Usually, a FS consultant should be consulted here. However, if you can upload a small sketch of this area, I can help you to see where is the best position / point to place the two forks.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 8/24/2001 7:52:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:My house is completely openplan, except for the bathroom.I have a spiral staircasewhich leads to the roof top, halving the room, being alittle off to the side.
