if so, do we need to "prepare" anything or formalities so that the viewer do not ignorantly "offend" the spirits...

Dear Jeffrey,

1. I believe there are different views on what actions to take or avoid during the 7th month.

2. The key point is to refrain from traveling or being away from home (like camping, for instance).

3. Personally, I think it's still 'acceptable' to look at a house. However, some FS professionals might not fully agree with this.
Thus, we each need to decide for ourselves whether to proceed or not.

4. In my view, house viewing remains acceptable as long as no deposit is made on the property. If a deposit is paid, it can still be managed since most of the formalities, especially for new homes, are handled by lawyers who have a few weeks of flexibility, etc....

5. Regarding the idea of not 'offending' the spirits, it's advisable to view a home during the day, i.e., when it's Yang or bright, and to avoid viewing after 4:00 PM or at dawn.

6. Again, this is just my personal perspective. As I mentioned, opinions about the 7th month can vary widely among different people.
