Usually, without much analysis in Feng Shui, as you have mentioned, it would be preferred not to use red carpeting in a room especially in the bedroom.1. Red is considered th most yang colour and bedroom should usually have more yin (rest) than yang (activity).2. Depending on the sector, or compass directions, it would not be too ideal to have red at the South side or sector as it represents the `fire' element.3. It should preferably not good to use a blue colour for the bedsheet as there would be an extreme contrast of red and blue where both can easily clash.
