Posted September 14, 200123 yr Cecil,I've read your website on how to determine the location of the house. I'm planning to look for new flat soon. How can you do a quick check on the location of the main door if I don't have the blue print of the flat (in order to determine the centre of the flat)?.
Posted September 18, 200123 yr Staff Dear Yang Ming,Usually most house plans have both the individual layout plans and more importantly the site/plot plans. Most of the site/plot plans will have the North-South orientation. Here, we can use a protractor to measure the inclination of the house i.e. North/South -- East/West and then superimpose this grid to the layout plan. Here, one can orientate the individual layout plan to this larger site/plot plan.We can then have a `rough' or if done correctly a good `estimate' of the compass direction e.g. the main entrance door.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 9/14/2001 4:00:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Cecil,I've read your website on howto determine the location ofthe house.
