Posted December 24, 200123 yr I would like to know what color or colors would be best to paint a senior citizens center. It is one large room with some partitions.
Posted December 25, 200123 yr Staff Dear Donna,In my opinion, it is good (best) to check with the interior designer who is doing up the center as the colour of the wall should normally blend with the furniture in the center. In Feng Shui, there are several colours one may opt:-1. Green - This signifies, the east (wood element) and represents - growth or vitality.2. Pink - This signifies, the south (Fire element) represents activity. 3. White (or pastel shades of it) - This is considered a neutral colour and can help especially if there is space constraints or if the center is rather small. However, I must certainly emphasise still the need to check with the interior designer on their colour scheme.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 12/24/2001 11:51:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:I would like to know whatcolor or colors would be bestto paint a senior citizenscenter. Posted December 28, 200123 yr This center is 15 years old and it now has a "seafoam" green walls, floors are multi-colored tile in beiges, putties and browns. The chair at the tables are mauve. As director, Iwould like to repaint the center but would like to apply feng shui since there is a lot of friction among many of the seniors who come to visit the center. Please help me, I am truly desperate for good chi in the center.
Posted December 30, 200123 yr Staff Dear Donna,1. Please refer to my earlier message. In general green represents growth and it is one of the recommended colours.2. However, I personall feel that Feng Shui is not a `cure' all. It helps to enhance Qi. But in terms of human behaviour and interaction, this is more towards other disciplines such as Ba Zi (Pillars of Destiny). In your environment, since there are so many individuals, it is not practical to try to use Ba Zi as it involves many people and their `interaction/cross-interaction' with each other. In my opinion, this is why, we often hear that once a person gets to be 18 years or especially 21 years of age, it is pretty difficult to `change' someone. It is best in your situation to try to apply other "methods" such as those studied in Universities e.g. Organisational Behaviour (some what close to such subjects).Wishing you all the Best!Warmest Regards,Cecil Lee Quote This center is 15 years old and it now has a "seafoam" green walls, floors are multi-colored tile in beiges, putties and browns.
