I had read that having a Silver Wish Box will make one wish come true. And it is good to get a square or round one with auspicious symbols on it & place it in the SW. But I've got difficulty getting a silver square box. Can a heart shaped silver box with peonies painted on a porcelain do? What about a wooden rectangular box with the double happiness symbol?

Dear Anon,

In my opinion, there is really nothing magical about a wish box. It is similar to someone keeping a good luck charm.

Since this does not fall into the category of Feng Shui or divinity, I am unable to answer your question.

However, I do not really see any harm in keeping or treasuring it.

If you ask me, I would classify this as categorised under Human or Man Luck factors:-

Under Human / Man Luck: Hope can be a truly wonderful support.

For example:

1. This uncle lives all by himself. He has no children and no close relatives staying with him, so he is basically on his own.

2. He gets by from week to week because he is a regular lottery buyer.

3. Every week, he looks forward to the draw, holding on to the hope that he might win the lottery.

4. So, as long as he keeps up this routine, he is, for now, unlikely to become suicidal, because he is living on HOPE. Hmm… Faith or Charity? Not too sure… he didn’t share that part with us… LOL.
