A concrete-lined drainage ditch flows
along the back of my property from the
South corner to the East corner. The
house and property face NW. Does this
situation require a remedy and if so, what

It would be good if you can draw close sketch and attach it to this forum.
I would like to answer your question but, I hope can understand that I would need to see the following clearly:-
1. The shape of your plot of land and the outline of the concrete-lined drainage ditch.
In particular - the outline of the concrete-lined drainage.
2. Describe the gradient on all four sides of the house.
3. If possible, describe the surrounding houses e.g in front; side.
Alternatively a street directory map of the sector of your house.
