Posted March 18, 200223 yr My upstairs neighbours have their "master bedroom toilet" located straight above my main entrance. Does this affect my house and if so what can u suggest how to repair this?
Posted March 18, 200223 yr Staff Dear Piet,Frankly, there is not much one can do here. However, it is not an issue if:-1. the toilet bowl is not directly above the main entrance.2. sewerage pipes are not directly above the main entrance. If it is a toilet, usually, the proper water-proofing e.g. of the floor. So long as there are no sewerage pipes running down the main entrance area (e.g. covered by false ceiling) this is acceptable. The only "last resort" is to relocate the toilet. (Usually this is not possible). Otherwise, frankly, there is really not much one can do.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/18/2002 1:51:00 PM, Anonymous wrote:My upstairs neighbours havetheir "master bedroom toilet"located straight above my mainentrance. Posted March 19, 200223 yr Dear Cecil,Thank you very much for your speedy reply;I'm "afraid"(not really) that the bowl is straight over my head as i sit down to take off my shoes after a days work in the fields.Sometimes i even hear the water flush right past me through the sewer.Removing toilet is not an option. Thanks for any further suggestions u might be willing to give.
Posted March 19, 200223 yr Staff Dear Piet,To be honest, the only thing is to relocate the toilet. But, may not be practical or allowed by the owner of the second floor. The only way is to relocate the toilets. Otherwise, thre is really nothing much one do.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 3/19/2002 11:24:00 AM, Anonymous wrote:Dear Cecil,Thank you very much for yourspeedy reply;I'm "afraid"(not really) thatthe bowl is straight over myhead as i sit down to take offmy shoes after a days work inthe fields.Sometimes i even hear thewater flush right past methrough the sewer.Removingtoilet is not an option.Thanksfor any further suggestions umight be willing to give.
