I am new to these boards. Well, I'm a bit confused as in to what my lucky element is. I was born on Feb 5, 1974 in usa, los angeles, california. I hear I am a wood tiger and my element is wood. Then some others will say my element is metal? I'm confused. Which is my lucky element for certain? And are my elements balanced? Should I wear more metal?

Yes, based on the year of birth 1974 is Tiger Wood. So if you just use a basic Year of Birth Analysis, most will determine you to be a Wood Element. For the many people born in 1974, they will not all belong to Wood element some may be a fire-wood, water-wood etc. So each day provides a different element.
There is also another element based on the Eight House Gua Number which is also based on the year of birth.
So these two are not very good feng shui analysis tools to determine what element you really are.
The best way is to use the Ba Zi Feng Shui where it takes into account your Year, the Month, the Day and Hour of birth to give you a very accurate analysis.
