Firstly a HAPPY NEW YEAR to MR.Cecil Lee and Mr.Robert Lee.
If one is staying in the "1st floor" of a two storey "period 7 house" now, and would decide to move out for 100 days after 4th Feb 2004 (i.e the 1st floor will be closed/sealed temporarily, without anybody entering), from this 1st floor of this house to the "ground floor" of this same two storey house, then will this bring about transformation of the "1st floor" of this house into a "Period 8 house" for the 1st floor, only.
Many thanks,
Anthony

1. This is a possibility but frankly, no Feng Shui practitioner in modern times can say for sure.
2. The rationale is because this occurs only every 20 years. And many FS practitioners has not studied this change so closely nor do they have a sizeable amount of people who do so.
3. Good Feng Shui is always practised on the premise that: if it works for MOST of us, it can usually work for another person.
4. But, previously, such information cannot be collected en-mass for detailed analysis. For each practitioner, there can be no cases of this nature (since this is a novel idea).
5. Even if they have one case to study, it is considered premature to come to a conclusion if it works or does not work.
6. Many more of such cases must be looked at and perhaps, a statistical model is used to look at it more closely and any other correlation / variables that may sway the result.
7. THE COMING OF AGE
====================
7.1 PCs only come into being around mid 1970s with the introduction of apple computers. IBM compatible PCs only arrive in around this time but were expensive. And these PCs were standalone ones.
7.2 Even during 1980's there was only bulletin boards. And many participants are usually the young. And these use dial-up accounts.
7.3 Only during recent years, around 1996, with the blessing of the internet that all of us are able to share information with each other.
7.4 Forums like this one, have collective information i.e. many real life questions have been posted on real life issues.
7.5 And each day is a learning experience.
7.6 It is my personal belief that with this sharing of information, more information on such concepts like what you had mentioned could from now, be looked at more closely and objectively.
7.7 If information of such nature can be properly archived, 20 years down the road, someone else may take a look at the same situation and make a comparison with it today.
7.8 Similarly 40 years down the road, some other analyst (need not be a FS practitioner) could analyse the data.
8. In my opinion, this generation of FS practitioners cannot tell for sure, if what you had mentioned is effective.
I believe those who do so, may simply be just guessing. You and I can likewise make a guess. Since the answer is Yes or No, the probability of getting the right answer is 50-50.
Frankly, I do not have the answer to your question. Perhaps, if you are doing this experiment or anyone else who does it, can share their personal findings:)
Warmest Regards,
Cecil
