There is a stairway going up to the entry if my condo. At top of stairs is a small hallway with two doors-one to my neighbor facing South and my own facing East. I would like to put a mirror on the wall for more light. Is this a good idea?

1. This is a good idea since it will help the movement of qi.
2. Where possible, this mirror should not face either apartment's door directly. Otherwise, it is acceptable to do so.
However, avoid joining pieces of mirror togehter. If the mirrors are joined it is best to place a strip of wood or lining between the splits as such split mirror lines are inauspicious.

Thank you Cecil. I will begin to look for a 'whole' mirror. Does the shape matter? I think I would prefer an oval.

Actually, the preferred shape is the "Earth" element: rectangle or square. Oval, is not the best shape.
