What Should I Do With The Post In My Front Yard?

Dear Master Cecil:
Thank you for your reply to my questions regarding posts in my front yard. Now, my question is what I should do with it?
The size of this utility post (where electricity wires and telephone cables are) is 6 inches by 6 inches and less than 3 feet high. Standing at my front door, this post looks like slicing into my front entrance and I cannot remove this post (utility work inside).
Should I plant shrubs around this post to block my view of this post? Or should I grow climbing vines, such as trumpet vine, around the post? Please advise. Thank you very much.
