Posted June 18, 200322 yr My staircase from ground floor to second storey leads to awindow at the top of the second storey. Is this alright or should I do anything about it?Also, my main gate faces the opposite neighbour's gate directly. My opposite neighbour has a circular mirror at the wall inside his gate, the mirror faces my house. Is this alright or can I do anything about this?

Is this alrightor should I do anything aboutit? To clarify, I hope I get you correctly. Do you mean to say that there is a window at the 2nd storey landing?Often, this is acceptable (in terms of bringing in or filtering) in light into the area. Usually, if there is a window, often, up to waist height should be fixed / permanent and either a casement or swing up window is acceptable. If the window is not fixed below; it may be a safety issue for young children.Personally, I do not see this as an issue; if what you mentioned seems that way. By any chance do you have pointed gate or any objects pointed towards the neighbours? Yes/No? Often, as mentioned above; if your gate is pointed or has a pointed arrow on it; and if your neighbour places a mirror to reflect this back to you home than - this is technically a Sha Qi or poison arrow -- aimed back towards your home. But if the mirror was/is innocently placed to reflect back e.g. a neutral image, then this is ok.Warmest Regards,Cecil
