For a landed property, is it bad to have the front gate opening out instead of in?

Dear Sybil,
More importantly is the main entrance door. This door should (MUST) open inwards.
On the practical side, there is frankly no issue with front gate opening out. This is often because of the constraint of limited interior space to open inwards: as it `hit' a parked car.
Here, also many auto-gate opening devices are fitted to swing outwards - as this is most practical solution as mentioned above.
We can say: It is nice to have it open inwards - provided it is practical.
