Dear Hoa Luong,

This has more to do with commonsense approach to Feng Shui.

For example, in Malaysia, it was felt that a corner lot on a quiet side of the street could attract thieves.

However, nowadays with modern deterence such as motion sensor lighting, mimic dog barks and alarm systems, it makes it much harder for anyone to violate the property without a warning.
