Dear Cecil,

Thank you very much for responding so quickly to my question.

My concern is somehow through renovation, my house's flying star will move to P8 and I don't want it to move to P8. My house facing is SW1 which is very good under P7, but very bad under P8. Since it was built in 1983, there will be renovations needed during the next 20 years. In 2001, we replaced the roof and repainted the outside of the house, and that moved it from P6to P7 which was a good move. Within the next few years, we need to replace the carpet on the second level, resurface the wood floor on the main level, replace the kitchen appliances, repaint the inside of the house etc... Willall of this renovations move the house's flying star to P8?

Very respectfully yours,

AC

Dear Anon,

Frankly, so long as you try to do minor renovations or do if possible do it piecemeal i.e. renovation a few locations at a time e..g not more than 1/4 of the home, usually your home would not fly into the new period.

Thus, if you need to change the carpet, see if it is possible or feasible to do them piecemeal:-

the carpet on the second

level,

This could be done, first.

resurface the wood

floor on the main level,

Perhaps, not do this the same time as above.

replace the kitchen

appliances,

There is no issue in Feng Shui with the replacement of kitchen appliances such as dish washer, washing machine, fridge etc.. Unless one is changing e.g. fixtures such as the entire kitchen cabinet, wash basin etc...

repaint the inside

of the house etc...

When doing so, try not to remove roof tiles or replace roof tiles at the same time.

I do understand that sometimes, it is more practical to just "move-out" and do all these things in ONE go. But, if we are like "beggars" i.e. no choice, to avoid flying to a new period, may have to just do them piecemeal - two at the time is ok.

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
