Posted February 17, 200520 yr I have seen a few feng shui books & gets confusing on which direction to go by.Do I go by thesouth in the true south direction here in U.S.A.? Or does it go by front door - no matter which direction it faces? Thanks.
Posted February 17, 200520 yr Staff Dear Linda,For the purpose of applying Flying Star Feng Shui, one should consider "Where is the frontage or the mouth of the house is?"Thus often, in many circumstances the frontage is usually the location where there is a road leading towards our "frontage" of the home. And it is not influenced by where the main entrance is.For example, if the main entrance is not directly at the front of the house but at the side of the house, this may not be the frontage of the home.Under Flying Star Feng Shui, the frontage is like the "mouth" of a person where we take in "air/oxygen" and talk and not where the main entrance is.Previously, I had written clear information of what is the "Mouth" of the house. Try to do a search for two parts of this article in the forum to have a better understanding of what is meant by the mouth of the house and how to determine it.Warmest Regards,Cecil Quote On 2/17/2005 9:46:36 PM, Anonymous wrote:I have seen a few feng shuibooks & gets confusing onwhich direction to goby.Do I go bythesouth in the truesouth direction here inU.S.A.? Or does it go by front door - no matter which direction it faces?Use a compass to determine your facing direction of the house. However, you will need to check out which type of house it belongs to:-1. HouseLanded Property (ie Bungalow/Terrace) - Take the frontage of the house by the where the front of the house is located. 2. Apartments (2nd - 7th level) - Take the frontage from the main door.3. Apartment (8th level) - Take the frontage from the living room/balcony.If you are still unsure, provide us with a layout plan with North direction, indicate where is your main door located and which is the frontage of the house, we can advise you what you should take as the facing of your home.Hope that helps.Warmest RegardsRobert LeeGEOMANCY.NET - Center for Applied Feng Shui Research
